Let's make something together
We're Madeline and Ollie, the two brains behind Board Brains.
How we work
Reviews are ours.
Whether we bought it ourselves or received a review copy, the experience we share is the one we actually had. No notes from publishers, no editorial input. Review copies are always disclosed.
Sponsored showcases are partnerships.
When we work with a publisher on a sponsored showcase, we choose games we genuinely believe are a good fit for our audience, because that's how we create content that's actually fun to watch. We get to spotlight something we're excited about, your game gets an authentic showcase, and our audience gets something worth their time. Sponsored content is always clearly disclosed.
We think that distinction matters, and we think the right partners do too.
What we're open to
We create experience-driven content about board games, with a focus on one and two-player experiences, strategic play, and games that genuinely earn a spot on your shelf. Whether you're a publisher, a designer, or someone who just wants to say hi - this is the place.
We'd love to hear from you about:
- Review copies: We're always looking for our next favourite game. If you think your game is a fit for our audience, we'd love to take a look.
- Sponsored showcases: We partner with publishers to spotlight games through dedicated, clearly disclosed content. More on how this works below.
- Events & conventions: Whether it's a booth visit, a live play, or coverage from the floor, we love showing up where the community gathers.
- Affiliate & ambassador programs: Long-term partnerships with publishers whose games we believe in.
These are examples, not an exhaustive list. If you've got an idea that doesn't fit neatly into a box, we're all ears.
Who's watching
Our content lives at the intersection of strategy, connection, and honest play. We primarily cover one and two-player experiences (though not exclusively) and spend a lot of time in engine builders, resource management games, and strategic titles with real depth.
Our community is intentional about how they spend their time and energy, and they trust us to help them find games worth that investment.
